 Richard
de Lisle
Since 1996, Richard de Lisle -– following his successful
career with Merrill Lynch and Dean Witter -- has run a long-only
dollar-based scholarship fund for Emmanuel College, Cambridge
University.
Richard started his career selling US
equities for the Merrill Lynch institutional equity office
in London in 1979. In 1984 he moved to Dean Witter to build
their institutional presence. Having become one of the leading
US equity brokers of the 1980s, in 1991 he was appointed managing
director of Dean Witter’s six offices outside the United
States. When Dean Witter merged with Morgan Stanley in 1997
he realised the opportunity to transfer from the selling side
to the buy side of the business through continuing to manage
a long-only dollar-based scholarship fund.
Richard has been investing in stock
markets since 1972. For him the investment process is a pleasure,
an end not a means: the evolving patterns and methods are
a constant fascination. Since 1996, he has had the opportunity
to build a successful track record in US equities.
